Molly Gallaher Flater is the Founding Chairwoman of Blue Gate Bank. Starting with an idea in 2015, Ms. Flater assembled a Board of Directors and Executive Team for Blue Gate Bank and successfully achieved approval in late 2016. She continues in her role as Chairwoman to lead the board and provide oversight to the Executive Team. Ms. Flater serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Oakmont Senior Living in Santa Rosa, California. Her responsibilities include the oversight of 22 senior communities throughout the state. She also oversees Oakmont’s standard multi-housing portfolio. Under Ms. Flater’s surveillance, the company has achieved phenomenal occupancy growth and has been able to sustain almost full occupancy levels. The portfolio consistently serves as the price leader in the market and achieves strong operating margins.
From 2013 to 2015, Ms. Flater served on the Board of Directors for First Community Bank. Prior to joining Oakmont, she established and operated a food and beverage venture and was named Young Business Leader of the Year by the California Assembly in 2008.
Patrick Gallaher is a Founding Director and Vice Chairman of Blue Gate Bank. Prior to joining Blue Gate Bank, Mr. Gallaher worked in real estate development, accounting, and as a consultant for Oakmont Senior Living in Santa Rosa, California. Mr. Gallaher has an extensive background in the industry, formerly serving as a Director of Sonoma National Bank from 1992 to 2007, and on the Board of Directors for First Community Bank in 2010.
Douglas H. Bosco is a Founding Director of Blue Gate Bank. He also runs his own legal practice, The Law Office of Douglas H. Bosco, in Santa Rosa, California. Mr. Bosco is also part-owner of Sonoma Media Investments LLC, which owns newspapers and magazines, including the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. Additionally, Mr. Bosco is Co-owner and Founder of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad Co., which operates short-line freight service along California’s North Coast.
Mr. Bosco is very involved with local and national government, serving in the California State Legislature from 1978 to 1982 and in the United States Congress from 1982 to 1990. Mr. Bosco also serves as Chairman of the California Coastal Conservancy and has been active on the Board of Directors of First Community Bank of Santa Rosa since 2013.
Brent W. Koch brings over 25 years of experience to Blue Gate Bank’s Board of Directors. Mr. Koch is a Managing Principal of Wealth Management Strategies and President of Paramount Strategies Group. Serving as one of the premier financial strategies consultants in the industry, Mr. Koch has completed business with some of the most affluent families, business owners and executives across the country. Since joining AXA Advisors, LLC in 1988, he has been recognized as one of AXA’s elite, receiving multiple honors and awards. For more than 10 years, Mr. Koch has designed and implemented some of the most advanced and sophisticated estate, business and wealth transfer strategies in the industry. On a national basis, he works closely with his clients’ attorneys, accountants and advisors to design detailed strategies that satisfy their needs.
Mr. Koch is an active member of his church and community, serving several national and local charities. He resides in Laguna Niguel, California, with his wife, Jana, and their four daughters.
Steve McCullagh brings more than 20 years of community banking expertise to Blue Gate Bank’s Board of Directors. Mr. McCullagh sits on the board as Founding Director for Blue Gate Bank as well as First Community Bank. He oversees senior housing site acquisition and development for Oakmont Senior Living, LLC of Santa Rosa, California. Prior to his role at Oakmont Senior Living, Mr. McCullagh served as the former Chief Credit Officer and board member of Sonoma National Bank.
Komron Shahhosseini is a Founding Director of Blue Gate Bank. He serves as Regional Director of site acquisitions and development at Oakmont Senior Living and is an expert on the subject of land use and development. Mr. Shahhosseini has developed real estate projects throughout California, including mixed-use and multi-family developments, retirement communities, and affordable housing. He understands the complexities of building energy projects and the factors that matter to local decision-makers.
For more than seven years, Mr. Shahhosseini has served on the Sonoma County Planning Commission.
Mr. Lauro Garcia is a veteran investment banker and a nationally recognized expert in tax-exempt and taxable multifamily housing and bond financing. He has completed over $6 billion dollars in apartment financings and has been responsible for developing several innovative private credit enhancement programs for multifamily new construction and rehabilitation projects. Prior to joining Hutchinson, Shockey, Erley & Co as Senior Vice President in 1996, Mr. Garcia was both a Principal in his own firm, Bancroft, Garcia and Lavell, from 1986 to 1993 and subsequently Director in Public Finance for Merrill Lynch from 1993 to 1996.
Mr. Garcia is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, and holds several certifications with the National Association of Securities Dealers including General Securities Principal, Municipal Securities Principal, and General Securities Representative. He received his Bachelors of Arts in sociology in 1979, and went on to pursue his graduate degree from Arizona State University, College of Law in 1982. Along with his accomplishments, Mr. Garcia is a founding member of the “Hispanic Business” scholarship fund.
Ms. Farinacci graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting-Professional. She is a Partner / Accounting Services and Business Consultation at LTSP, Inc., a full-service certified public accounting firm based in Newport Beach. She came to LTSP, Inc. from the banking profession in 1984 and became a partner in 1996.
Ms. Farinacci provides financial reporting, tax and consulting services to closely-held businesses and high net worth individuals. She has experience in compilation, review, and audit of financial statements; financial forecasts and projections; consultation to improve cash flow and profitability. She is very experienced in serving clients in a wide diversity of industries including technology, real estate, contractors, distribution, and manufacturing. She is also the firm’s authority on computer applications to solve client’s accounting needs and implement financial reporting systems.
Ms. Farinacci is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She served on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Orange County from 2003 through 2015 which included two terms as Board Chair. Doris Farinacci was selected by the Girl Scouts of Orange County as its 2011 Member of the Year for her invaluable leadership as Executive Committee Member, Board Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair and delegate for Orange County in the 2011 Girl Scouts National Conference. She is active in civic affairs, serving on the Finance Committee of the March of Dimes – Orange County Chapter and the Board of Directors of the Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce for many years. She is a past president of the Dolphins and Organizational Affairs Division of the Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the boards of several women’s conferences including the Cal State Long Beach Gold Coast Conference and the Women’s Opportunity Workshop.
Ms. Farinacci resides with her husband of 34 years in Orange County, CA. She has a daughter completing law school at USC and a son working in Dallas for a global tax firm.
